Moringa oleifera is a small tree grown primarily in India. The leaves are used to make tea, powder, and oil for a wide array of health remedies. Moringa powder can be added to smoothies, soups, and you can make a latte with it! Moringa contains powerful amounts of phytonutrients, helping to aid the immune system in fighting infection and reducing inflammation. Moringa has an earthier, grassier flavor than matcha, so it can be an acquired taste. We like to balance the flavor with the sweet, creamy flavor of a latte for a soothing mood boost.

All you will need for this latte is raw honey, coconut milk, and a quality moringa powder.

Raw honey adds just the right amount of sweetness while amping, up the minerals, amino acids, and enzymes in the latte, something you don’t often get from your corner coffee shop. Coconut milk is perfect for frothing for a super silky end result. Be sure to use full-fat canned coconut milk with cream on top.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups full-fat coconut milk

  • 1 t moringa powder

  • 1 t raw honey

Directions

  • Combine moringa powder and honey in the bottom of a mug.

  • Using a milk frother or a small saucepan, steam coconut milk until bubbles form.

  • Enjoy the mellow, revitalizing flavor of this latte, just pour it over ice and sip with a straw.
